“Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you. “You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you.’ Ezekiel 28:17-18
Lucifer fell, he sinned against God. When he rebelled against the Lord this beautiful Cherub angel became the adversary. Fire devoured him. It burned him until his glory was gone. 
What once was, was no more. God did not create the Devil, he created the supernatural being that became him.
Lucifer’s sin began in his heart. He had 5 ‘I wills’:
- I WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN
- I WILL EXALT MY THRONE ABOVE THE STARS OF GOD
- I WILL SIT ALSO UPON THE MOUNT OF THE CONGREGATION
- I WILL ASCEND ABOVE THE HEIGHTS OF THE CLOUDS
- I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH
‘You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created.’ Ezekiel 28:13
Satan was in the Garden of Eden before Adam was in the Garden of Eden. This place was his place, his land.
Satan had been the priest of the Garden of Eden. Administering worship to God before Adam. Following his rebellion against the Lord, Satan was removed from his position and replaced…. BY US!! He was replaced by Adam, his position of priest of the Garden of Eden was given over to Adam.
This is why Satan hates us so much. We were placed smack dab in the middle of a place that once was his, and we were created in the image of God. It was double gut punch to Satan.
Since the creation of man, Satan’s goal is to get us to forget the image we are made in and partner with him as our ‘god.’ The garden of eden was the original temple between God and humanity, and Adam was it’s priest. It was the portal between the heavenly and earthly realms. Adam, when created, became the landLORD of this Earth. Jesus is the KING OF KINGS, the LORD OF LORDS. This is what was severed after Satan deceived Adam and Eve resulting in the fall of man. BUT JESUS 
When the Lord created this world, HE gave full dominionship to Adam, revoking anything Lucifer had. But man, also fell, so, the Lord, in all his loving kindness sent Jesus, and by the power of the work of the cross HE was able to render the bridge to close the gap between us and the Garden once again. We now have access. 
When we accept Jesus as our saviour, this is a full partnership. We are now COHEIRS. You are now in original Kingdom state and standing (like Adam was originally created), you are the king He is KING of. You are now like the lord He is LORD of.
Satan hates us because what he was once ruler over this dominion, we now are.
