There are seasons when it feels like everything has been burned down. Dreams seem gone. What was once beautiful seems broken. The treasures of years past feel as though they’ve been carried away. You find yourself living in an exile you never imagined, wondering if God has forgotten you.
But the book of Jeremiah doesn’t end with the fire!!!! It ends with a release!!!!
After 37 years in prison, Jehoiachin is called out. The prison garments come off.
Honor replaces shame. A table replaces a prison cell.
Daily provision replaces survival.
Even after judgment, loss, long seasons of waiting, God is still able to preserve His promises!!!!
What looked like the end of the story wasn’t the end at all.
This chapter starts out with the collapse of Judah’s kingdom & ends with a glimpse of hope.
Yes, the Temple was gone and the people are in exile, BUT… God preserves the line of David through Jehoiachin. His covenant promises are still alive even after judgment.
Receive:
The Temple may be in ruins. The treasures may seem gone. You may feel like you’ve been living in exile. But God’s covenant is still alive over you.
His promises have not burned with the ashes.
He is faithful to what He has spoken, even when your circumstances suggest otherwise.
Even if everything VISIBLE seems to say God is finished… HE’S JUST BEGINNING!!!
