The simple answer is yes.
Satan will not despise your lack of knowledge, he will pounce on it. As Christians we need to understand that we are a house; we are a temple of the Lord.
In Genesis 4:7 NLT God the Father says,
"You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching (knocking) at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”
- Door: swinging/sliding barrier by which an entry is closed / opened.
Door is a keyword here, our bodies have a door. The Lord is letting us know our heart is the door. Doors are attached to houses and places that store / hold things. WE house authority, we house the presence of God, we house the Holy Spirit. House is written more than 2,000 times in the Bible. When a demon leaves a person, it says he would “return to my house…” The words of Jesus tell us the enemy also calls our body houses:
Luke 11:24 NKJV
'“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ '
In Noah’s Ark, it was built to house as well. If you study this structure out you will see it, in itself, was also built in the like manner of our human bodies… 3 levels. There are many more parallels that I challenge to you study out in your own time.
In the New Testament Jesus, also, connects to that verse above. He was dealing with the Pharisees and he says, How is it that you’re not able to hear my speech, it is because there is no “room” in your heart.
Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:26-27 NKJV,
'“Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.' <<Note: he is talking to the saints!>>
Other translations say “foothold.” Nor give a foothold to the enemy. (i.e. give authority)
- Foothold: a position usable as a base for further advance
Christians can open a door, can give a place/foothold, to the devil, and the enemy can come in and dwell in an occupied area. The devil does not “own” the believer, but he can own that area of that believers life.
A Christian can not be “possessed” by a demon. But a Christian can “possess” a demon.
❌Possessed: completely controlled by an evil spirit.
✅Possess: have as belonging to one; own
The enemy’s number 1 tactic he uses is to make the world believe he doesn’t exit, and that we, the Church, blame him too much. I hear, “you talk about the enemy too much,” or “talking about the enemy gives him power,” WRONG… authority handed over to the enemy gives him power, and scripture plainly teaches for us to be “wise as serpents.” Me training others to be vigilant warriors in the Kingdom through the power of Yahweh is giving way to the King of Kings to move through, not the enemy.
Tabernacle
In Exodus Moses builds a tabernacle via God’s plans, and this book explains to us in detail that this is the place where God himself would dwell. Just like the Ark of Noah and our human bodies, the tabernacle consisted of 3 places: the outer court, the holy place, and the most holy place.
Outer Court
The structure of the Tabernacle and temple was threefold. It had an outward wall or fence and inside that fence was called the outer court. This was the part of the temple that everyone could access. All other Israelites could come to that court with their sacrifices and be satisfied that they had come to the temple of God. There was a four horned altar where sacrifices would be made. God ordained that two lambs would be burned, every day. One in the morning and one in the evening. This was known as the continual burnt offering. It was also known as the evening and morning sacrifice. This one is made reference to in the book of Daniel.
Body correlation: Physical / Flesh
Holy Place
The Holy Place which was also called the sanctuary is where the priests would minister everyday. They would take the blood of the sacrifice and sprinkle it in the Holy Place. The Holy Place was only lit by a Menorah which had seven candlesticks. There was a table which had twelve loaves of bread. This bread was supposed to be continually in the presence of God. It was called the shewbread or bread of the presence. This is what David ate when he was hungry. There was also incense which was supposed to continually be burnt inside the holy place, morning and evening.
Body correlation: Our soul
The Most Holy Place
The Most Holy Place contained the ark of the covenant. The ark of the covenant was where the presence of the Lord would come down to minister. While the whole temple was considered the dwelling place of God, the ark of the covenant was were his presence was enthroned. In fact the ark was sometimes referred to as God’s throne.
Body correlation: Our spirit
We are called to love God in each area of these places.
Deuteronomy 6:4-5
'“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.'
During the time of David as King, he started prepping to build a more permanent area for God-The Temple.
I Chronicles 28:11-12
'Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the vestibule, its houses, its treasuries, its upper chambers, its inner chambers, and the place of the mercy seat; and the plans for all that he had by the Spirit, of the courts of the house of the Lord , of all the chambers all around, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries for the dedicated things; '
God’s overall plan for us, our temple, is to house the presence of the Lord personally. Jesus says things to allude to this, and the people did not understand.
John 2:19
'Jesus answered and said to them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”'
When Jesus was talking about a temple, he was talking about a body.
An example of deliverance, in a temple, is Jesus stepped up and cleaned the temple from demonic money changers. The temple was a place where God himself dwelled, yet, Jesus had to come in and cleanse it because of demonic activity.
If a temple where God himself dwelled had demonic activity and Jesus came in and delivered the place, and if Jesus himself spoke of the human body as the temple, then 2+2=4.. Yes, a Christian can have a demon.
Demons can inhabit a Christian IF they are given legal access, if permission is handed to the enemy by words, acts, ignorance of said believer. As mentioned above, the enemy will not own the believer, but will own that specific area. Christians can have a demon, it doesn’t mean the ark doesn’t belong to God, it means a room needs cleaned out.
Demons hide!! Rather in the blood line or in rooms inside your body!!
We have to always fully examine ourselves. If we refuse to listen out of arrogance to either full blown ignorance, a demon is more than likely set up camp somewhere.
In Ezekiel 8 it says:
'So He brought me to the door of the court; and when I looked, there was a hole in the wall. Then He said to me, “Son of man, dig into the wall”; and when I dug into the wall, there was a door. And He said to me, “Go in, and see the wicked abominations which they are doing there.” So I went in and saw, and there—every sort of creeping thing, abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed all around on the walls. And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, and in their midst stood Jaazaniah the son of Shaphan. Each man had a censer in his hand, and a thick cloud of incense went up. Then He said to me, “Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say, ‘The Lord does not see us, the Lord has forsaken the land.’ ” And He said to me, “Turn again, and you will see greater abominations that they are doing.” So He brought me to the door of the north gate of the Lord ’s house; and to my dismay, women were sitting there weeping for Tammuz. Then He said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Turn again, you will see greater abominations than these.” So He brought me into the inner court of the Lord ’s house; and there, at the door of the temple of the Lord , between the porch and the altar, were about twenty-five men with their backs toward the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, and they were worshiping the sun toward the east. And He said to me, “Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a trivial thing to the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they commit here? For they have filled the land with violence; then they have returned to provoke Me to anger. Indeed they put the branch to their nose. '
Verses 7-12, the LORD HIMSELF COMMISSIONED EZEKIEL TO PURGE THE TEMPLE. The temple itself needed deliverance. He said look and see, search and find it out, and CONFRONT IT!!
REMEMBER:
John 2 :18 Temple = body
Luke 17:20-21 Body = where the kingdom is
Matt 13:3 Bird = has potential to snatch kingdom out from us (more below on this)
He had to dig in to the wall!! Digging requires a shovel. It takes work. The darkness was hidden. It had to be exposed. Wake up O’Sleeper. Pay attention. Listen, heed the voice of the Lord. He will always guide you in what to do and how to do it. Christians can have demons!!!! Christian’s can have whatever they open themselves up to. The Lord gave us the fruit of the spirit to use because God is not a puppet master pulling our strings. WE are in control of what we watch, listen to, hang out with, what we do, see, hear, touch, taste, smell.. All of it!!! We have free will to do and chose WHATEVER we want. God’s way is life!! Always life. But death comes through ignorance or stubbornness or full blown rebellion of the true word of God.
Excerpt from Alexander Pagani:
In Matthew 13 we find Jesus mentioning birds in another parable about the kingdom. Here is another illustration Jesus used: “The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nest in its branches.” -Matthew 13:31-32 This parable sealed the deal regarding whether a genuine Christian could have a demon in his life. In order to fully understand this parable, you must view it through Jesus’s interpretation in the parable of the sower, which he shared earlier in the same chapter. The gospel of the Kingdom is the seed, and in this parable the seed landed on “good ground” and was able to produce a full-grown tree. The parable goes on to say that the tree was fruitful enough to grow bigger than any other tree in the forest and attracted birds that wanted to make their nest within its branches. Notice Jesus already connected the dot between birds and demons. I believe the tree represents the Kingdom of God spreading in the earth and the believer who allows the Kingdom to manifest in his or her life. But while many believe the birds attracted to this tree are only seeking refuge and sustenance in the message of the Kingdom, I believe the birds can also represent the evil influences that seek to prevent the Kingdom of God from spreading in and through us, just as they did in the parable of the sower. The stronger you grow as a believer in the Kingdom, the more birds (demons) will attempt to make their nest among your branches (the various areas of your life). Therefore, we must continually allow the Holy Spirit to convict us and purge us of any evil influences in our lives until the Lord calls us home. So can a genuine believer have a demon operating in an unsub rendered area of his life? The answer is 100% yes.
Alexander Pagani
The higher you go, the higher the level of demonic attack. The higher your ranking in authority grows, the higher the rank of the demons come.
Pruning is a level of deliverance.
Crying is deliverance at times.
Manifestation is deliverance at times.
Reading the Bible can be a form of deliverance.
Not all deliverance looks the same, but deliverance is needed for every one’s spiritual walk. The NUMBER ONE sign the kingdom has arrived is casting out demons!! Deliverance is Jesus from beginning to end.
DEMONS THRIVE OFF BELIEVERS HAVING NO PASSION TO PURSUE COMPLETE FREEDOM. DEMONS THRIVE OFF IGNORANCE, WE HAVE TO HAVE DISCERNMENT AND WISDOM TO KNOW WHAT KEYS OPEN WHAT DOORS. ONE OF THE ROLES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS TO GUIDE US TO ALL TRUTH.
Psalm 24:7 KJV
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Gates are entry points! Bodily entry points: Eyes, Ears, Mouth, Skin, Nose, Genitals, etc..
There are no gray areas with God. It’s black or white. You’re either in or you’re out. Hot or cold. There is no gray area of tiptoeing in the lukewarm waters. Once you step off the trading ground of Heaven you are stepping on to a trading ground with the enemy. Words Matter. Choices Matter. Actions Matter. It All Matters. Because if you not set like flint on God himself, if you are not guarding your gates, if you are living ignorant to the schemes of the enemy. I can boldly say: You probably got a demon. If you have never had deliverance… You need deliverance.
Jesus said in Rev 3
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth”
Truth or a lie. Blessings or curses. In the garden of Eden there was only one rule—obey or not. There were only two locations on the Ark of Noah— inside or outside. God does not sugar coat His word. There is no fine print to read at the bottom of some contract. Just because we live in a world with gray areas does not mean His Kingdom authority bows to them. God does not wavier in His truth. Our choices have never been right or wrong— they are life or death.

You can not watch whatever you want to watch. You can’t listen to whatever you want to listen to. You can’t sit down on your couch every evening after work and turn on the TV and sit and watch a bunch of nudity and then expect to get free from lust. You can not open your ears up to the demonic ideology in these contemporary songs and not expect a door to be open. You can not expect to continue to hold grudges, and be unforgiving, and not expect that you don’t have any demons. You can not just allow anything and everything in to your home and expect you don’t have any demons….. YOU DO!!
Deliverance is a part of the covenantal blessings found in Jesus Christ. Deliverance is our portion. Deliverance as stated by Jesus Himself in Matthew 15:26 is for the children of God.
Deliverance is the CHILDREN’S bread.
